We all know how intense the heat gets in the UAE, and how disturbing it may during the day. Some of us even wonder if our swimming pool needs to be maintained more often due to the everlasting blazing heat in this country.

Not to worry. Below you'll have your answer well prepared.

First of all, No, you do not need to maintain more often than the international recommended amount. which means, just once a day is substantial. Most people prefer to do it in the early morning, as it would need time for the chlorine to dissolve to a point where swimming is safe. 

Second, make sure you know what you are doing, and ESPECIALLY make sure you understand the state your pool is in. It might need other types of cleaning or maintenance prior to a regular standard cleaning. At least once in a while (once a month is a good number to keep track of) check the condition of your water pump and filtering system. If you have a chiller/heater installed, then make sure it is functioning properly. Then check the chemical balancing and other important features such as the tiles condition and the overall water quality.

If you have any doubt on any of the tasks labeled above, then PLEASE, do not try to attempt to do this on your own thinking it is easy and it will be alright. Do not walk on fire to know it'll burn you. Have a professional and experienced swimming pool expert do this for you! It is not worth running expensive risks later on.

Your swimming pool has a circadian rhythm just like we humans do. And it must be respected and treated according to your pool's clock, otherwise it'll slowly break down, just as we damage our health by eating and moving (physical exercising)  inconsistently.

- Set up a schedule (preferably in the morning or when the pool is least used) 
- Stick to the schedule you made. Remember, momentum is key. It'll make things a lot easier for you.
