Strip all the hassle away by following these steps

So you've invested in a new swimming pool to turn your backyard into a tropical paradise to dip into in your free time and enhance your lifestyle. But perhaps you got too overwhelmed with the idea of having a pool and forgot about the catch, that is the cost and time needed to maintain it.

Surely you know that you can simply call a pool maintenance company like Dubai Pool Care to do the job for you, but maybe you don't want strangers walking into your property and handling something you believe you could care for instead. Well, this article is for you then.
We decided to share with you a 3-step reformed method to keeping your pool clean and well-maintained.

1. Invest in a Pool Test-Kit

These things do not cost much and you can get it from any pool or hardware store. It is essential to have this as it is important to know the chemical levels in your pools' water. It will allow you to understand your pools' pH levels so you can make the correct adjustment. The higher the pH level, the more acidic it is and vice versa. You want to maintain a pH level of 7.2 - 7.7 to ensure optimum acidity levels in the water.

With the pool test-kit, it will allow you to make other important measurements to take into account such as, chlorine levels, which is used to disinfect the water. Calcium hardness, which if measured too low, could potentially damage the pools' body. Cyanuric acid, used to protect the chlorine in the water from the suns' UVR. Along with many more measurements, although those mentioned are of the most important to ensure a safe swim.

Do not worry too much and think this would be difficult. The test kit is a pretty simple procedure where all you'd have to do is dip the tab in the water, let it rest for a minute, and bring it back up to compare the results with the desired chemical standards listed in the manual of the test kit. The test kit that you will get will list out all the desired chemical levels you want to have in your pool. Pretty simple.

2. Applying the Right Chemicals in the Pool

After you're done testing the waters in the pool and understanding what your pool may need. You can then go ahead and start applying the right chemicals. You want to invest in Chlorine, Algaecide, and Shockers. Chlorine will help remove the bacterias in your pool to keep it safe to swim. There are multiple types of chlorinating products out there such as Chlorinating tabs, Liquid Chlorine, and Granules. You can choose any that you desire as long as you use them correctly until the chlorine levels balances the desired test-kit results.

You want to also make sure to use a shocker which you can also buy in most hardware or pool store. Shockers help keep the water clear, removes bad odour, and keeps your eyes from irritation.

Next you want to algaecides to take out all the microscopic plants and bacterias that could inhabit your pool, damage your pools' equipment and pump system, and potentially make it unusable.

Remember to always perform these tasks with caution. Read the manual of each equipment you purchase and always wear a rubber glove when dealing with chemicals.

3. Pool Filtering System Check

Here comes the physical part of the process. It isn't a hard process and easy to get used to. You want to remove any debris or other debris sitting on the pool as soon as possible. It is good to get into the habit of cleaning your pool daily with a brush and net.

Make sure to remove any debris thats been collected from the skimmer of your pool, and also check to make sure that the water level is just about half way full of your skimmer. If the water in the skimmer is too high, the debris will escape the skimmer as it cannot contain what it sucks in. If it is too low, it could potentially damage the pump as there is not enough water.

Do not forget to vacuum the pool, and remember to always fill in water before doing so as vacuuming and backwashing decreases the water level during the process.

Finally, always make sure the pump filtration system works properly. Depending on whether you have a sand, cartridge, or diatomaceous filtration pump, you need to check the pressure level and check the pipes to ensure that nothing gets clogged up in there.

And there you have it. Now remember to always be prepared and if you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us about any question.
